Frank was born in Compton, CA on February 20, 1948. He was the oldest of 10 children to Frank and Guadalupe Padilla. Frank was a resident of Riverside for 35 years. He was a Vietnam veteran and served in the Army for 6 years. Frank was a computer hardware engineer for 40+ years. He met the love of his life Gracie in 1971, they married in 1981 and have shared a life together for the past 51 years. He enjoyed camping, hiking, playing chess, tennis and was an avid sports enthusiast. His favorite pastime was playing with his grandchildren, cheering along the sidelines of their games and spending time with his entire family.
He gave selflessly to so many people during his lifetime. He was a mentor and a father figure to so many people that his impact can be felt through generations.
He is survived by his wife, Alta “Gracie” Padilla, his daughters Christina Padilla of San Diego, Veronica Lua and husband Jack Lua of Riverside, and Carolyn Rivera and husband Tommy Rivera of Riverside; and 6 grandchildren Jack, Viviana, Joaquin, Liliana, Fiamma and Isabella.
He is preceded in death by his son Frankie; brother Tommy and sister Laura.
A viewing and rosary for Frank will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505.
A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Thomas the Apostile Catholic Church, 3774 Jackson St. #4359, Riverside, CA 92503.
A committal service will occur Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505.
A reception to follow at Elks Lodge, 6166 Brockton Ave., Riverside, CA 92506 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
