DAVID MARIN BECERRA, 97, of Corona, California, passed away at home on Thursday, July 27, 2017. He was born on March 1, 1920 in Corona, California to Atonacio and Mauricia Becerra. He was a resident of Corona all his life. He is survived by one daughter, Lupe Enriquez, of Corona, CA, and a sister Margaret Aguilar, of San Bernardino, CA and 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 43 great-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great-grandchild. David was preceded in death by his wife Teresa, his daughters Margaret Hernandez and Dora Cruz, and one son Robert Becerra. After serving our country honorably in the U.S Army, he was a carpenter for over 30 years in addition to playing for the Corona Athletics semi-pro baseball team. He was a Post Commander for American Legion Post 742. He loved outdoor gardening, watching his Angels baseball team, and enjoyed going to the casino. He was a church member at Presence of the Lord in Corona. A celebration of his life will be held at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park & Mortuary on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:00 am. Before the services begin at 10:00 am, at 9:15 am and before he is laid to rest, the Honor Guard of the Joe Dominguez American Legion Post #742 will honor their Past Post Commander, our Father/Grandfather David Becerra.
