Sunrise: November 5, 1960 - Sunset: April 5, 2022
Aurelius Rondell King was born on November 5, 1960 in Riverside, CA to the proud parents of Thomas J. Sr and Ula King. He was the youngest of seven children. Rondell, as he was commonly called, lived in Riverside his entire life and had a great love for his community. He was a member of the Polytechnic High School class of 1979. He later received a specialized certificate in Auto Mechanic and was a member of the California Conservation Corps Program.
Rondell progressed on to work as a Warehouseman for Phillip Morris, a janitor for Kaiser Permanente. In his later years of life he dedicated his time to caring for his Mother, Ula King until her recent passing.
In 1983 he met his wife, Frances, and in 1987 they were married. They had 3 children, Alethea, Adriana, and Aaron. Rondell was highly admired and known as the "neighborhood dad" too many, young and old alike. He was a jokester with a great sense of humor and had a way of making people laugh and wanting to be in his company, which he always welcomed. He always seemed to have witty sayings like, “pull the tiger by the tail”, and so many others which made him such a fun-loving person liked by so many. One of Rondell’s greatest loves was for his dog “Fancy”, which he cherished.
An avid car enthusiast, Rondell enjoyed repairing and restoring cars. Working on family, friends, and neighbors’ cars when asked he never gave it a second thought. Over the years, he collected many model/toy cars which he continued to cherish in his adult life. He also enjoyed drag racing, cooking, and listening to good music.
On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, the sunset ended Rondell’s earthly journey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. Sr and Ula King; two brothers, Charles Wheeler and Thomas King Jr; a sister, Byradine King-Strickland; and a nephew, Michael King.
Rondell leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife, Frances King; two daughters, Alethea King and Adriana King-Munguia (Henry); son, Aaron King (Alicia); brother, Olin King II (Yvonne); two sisters, Linda Pettine (Tony) and Shandel Roberts (Adrian); six grandchildren, Kali, Malaysia, Brandon Jr, Ethan, Elijah, and Aiden; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Rondell will truly be missed and will forever be in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him!
