Honey, Dad, Pop, Big Pop,
Thanks for always being there for us and for leading our family through your example. We love you and will truly miss you.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, from 10:30 until 1:00 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 following visitation. A private burial service will be held for the family afterwards. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Gideons International.
Billy’s relationship with the Lord was the most important thing in his life. This belief can be summed up best with the following note that he left to each member of his family:
Jesus gave us clear instructions on what our priority should be in the gospel of Matthew: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness” (Matt. 6:33). When we keep our eyes set on Him and nothing else – not wealth, success, social status – we can be sure that we’re making a worthwhile investment in the kingdom of God.
Father, keep my heart in check with it comes to money and riches. Keep my eyes on You first.
