Ron was born in Jackson, MS on February 24, 1952 to Norma and Louis Logan. He attended Provine High School, The University of MS and received his MBA from MS College.
Ron was married to Debbie Gladney Logan for 44 years and they have two girls, Mary Ann Spell and Kelly Stafford. Mary Ann is married to Robby Spell and they have 3 children, Matt, Will and Mary Taylor. Kelly is married to Steven Stafford and they have 2 children, Charley and Sarah Bryant.
He is survived by his brother Ricky Logan of Topeka, KS. He is also survived by his brother-in law and sister-in law Mike and Aleen Gladney and his nieces and nephews, Melanie, John, Bryce, and Rorie Farr; Jennifer, Jeremy, and Everett Johnson; and David Gladney.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra Logan; Charles and Mary Gladney, Debbie’s parents who loved him as their son; and his precious grandson, Logan.
Ron started his career as an assistant controller at Armour and Company. He worked in the credit and trust department at Deposit Guaranty National Bank. He then worked in investments at Thomson Mckinnon and the MS Public Employees Retirement System. He went on to start Logan Partners, Inc. where he spent many years investing and managing money for individuals as well as various state funds.
Ron loved the Ole Miss Rebels. He spent many years as the statistician for the Ole Miss football team including keeping stats for the famous Archie Manning.
Ron loved his family. He never missed a game, recital, play or birthday party. He was a planner and never went on any trip without researching every detail. If you wanted to know where to eat, ask Ron.
Ron knew Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. He was a long time member of Oak Forest Baptist Church and since 1993, Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, a Sunday School teacher and on many committees. In September of 2001, Ron founded the Faith InDeed Foundation a non-profit organization created to provide financial support for missions and ministries. He wanted everyone he knew to know about Jesus and the gift of salvation.
