Randel Wallace, 76, of Madison, passed away July 11, 2024. Randel grew up in south Jackson and graduated from Provine High School in 1966. After high school, he served in the Army National Guard as a Tact Officer for OCS training candidates. He retired from AAA Cooper Transportation as a Line Haul Driver after 27 years on the road. Randel was a member of Asbury Congregational Methodist Church and faithfully attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist church where he was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class.
Randel was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Laymon and Avis McClelland Wallace.
Randel is survived by his wife of 47 years, Paula Kaye Hale Wallace, daughters, Wendy Wallace Hux (Brad), Kayce Wallace Bills (Shane), and son Scott Wallace. Grandchildren: Haleigh Hux Swain (Dylan), Harrison Hux, Ava Bills and Brody Bills. Brother, Keith Wallace (Judy), Nephew, Kris Wallace (Molly), nieces Laura Wallace Clark (Jimmy), Melissa Wallace Banks (John), two great nieces and two great nephews.
Arrangements are Sunday, July 14 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 251 Old Hwy 43, Brandon, MS 39047. Visitation at 3:30 with graveside service following at 4:30, with Bro. Vic Bowman officiating.
Pallbearers are Kris Wallace, Brian Albin, Ray Ables, Tom Watson, Robert Woodall and Dwayne Meeks.
Honorary Pallbearers are the members of the Mt. Pisgah Men’s Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, St. Jude’s Hospital, French Camp Academy or the charity of your choice.
