Henry Lewis Sanford, 90, passed away Wednesday February 27, 2019 at the Blake in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 10-11am Saturday March 2, 2019 at Parkway Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 11:00am in the Chapel. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Henry was born in Shreveport, LA July 6, 1928 to parents, Emett and Sara Sanford. He was in sales and became a successful business entrepreneur in the energy management field during the 80's and 90's. After retiring, he worked on special projects for the MS Dept. of Energy. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family. He was the choir director at several different churches, and spent a lot of time coaching youth baseball and football teams.
Henry was a long-time resident of Briarwood Terrace and a former board member of the Homeowner's Association.
Henry is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Anne Wall Sanford of Jackson; children, Michael Sanford and Rebecca Anne Marsalis of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Danielle Marie Marsalis of San Antonio, TX, Michael Luke Sanford and Haley Raye Sanford of Pittsburgh, PA; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Townes Sanford of Pittsburgh, PA.
