She was surrounded by her loving husband and family. Born December, 1939 in Richmond, VA, she was the eldest daughter of the late Louis Arthur Roth Sr. and the late Mary Louise Roth.
Virginia leaves behind her beloved husband, high school sweetheart and lifelong partner of 60 years, Robert Elwood Johnson. She was the cherished mother to five children, Theresa Hechler (Al), Linda Balderson (Buddy), Sharon Mosley (Vernon), Sheila Libassi (Tom), and Tim Johnson (Trisha), grandmother to twelve grandchildren, and great grandmother to six great grandchildren. She was the eldest sister to Joan Mulligan (Bobby) and Louis Arthur (Butch) Roth Jr. (Pat) and was known as Aunt Deda to many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Virginia dedicated her life to raising her family and serving God as a devout Catholic. She will be remembered for her loving and sweet good nature, and an ability to make you feel like you’re the only person in the room. She always remembered birthdays and holidays with beautifully penned cards filled with sentiments that were personal and heartfelt. Her husband Robert was her soulmate and the love of her life, and her fierce dedication to him will last forever as she prepares their heavenly home.
A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church, 813 W. Nine Mile Road, Highland Springs, VA on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:30 and a Funeral Mass from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.
