Reid is survived by his twin brother J. Craig Turner, his sister-in-law Laurie Beasley-Turner, his younger brother David Bruce, his wife, Kris, and their children (Abbey and Pierce), all of Richmond, Virginia. Reid was predeceased by his parents Joseph C. Turner and Joan Rountree Turner also of Richmond, and his sister Carol Lynne Turner of Louisa County, Virginia.
A graduate of Fork Union Military Academy in Fluvanna County, Reid was a career carpenter and general contractor who enjoyed designing and building homes, as well as other construction projects both large and small. Known for his deep friendships, creativity, out-going personality, quick wit and his generosity of spirit, he will be missed and remembered by many with loving thoughts.
Reid’s family would like to thank their friends who have been so supportive during his illness and throughout his hospice care at home. Your prayers, cards, visits and encouragement have been deeply appreciated. They also would like to express their sincere gratitude to the amazing staff of Hospice of Virginia for their kindness, care and compassion.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 21, at the Parham Chapel of the Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road, at 1:00 p.m.
Following the service, the family will host a reception at 2:30 p.m. at the home of David Bruce, 22 Charnwood Road, Richmond, Virginia 23229.
