Sibyl Potter Smith, 86, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016. She was a homemaker and a member of McAllister Memorial Church, Covington VA. Sibyl is preceded in death by her husband, George William Smith; parents, Stokes William and Amanda Bennington Potter; and ten siblings. She is survived by her children, Marty (Diane), Jonny (Priscilla), Deana, and David; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 11-12:30pm at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum with a service immediately following in the chapel. Interment will be private.
