We are so sad to hear about pop. He will be missed so much. Every chance I got to see him at the VFW he always gave me a hug and always had a big smile. I never seen him mad. He always brought such good energy n happiness. God please look over the family at this time and remember we will all see pop again one day.   Love,  Peyton family.

Grandpa Beggs was the quintessential Grandpa.  My fondest memories of him  are at family parties where he wore festive hats, buttons  and ties. He was always quick to share a joke and a laugh. He told great stories. Grandpa will be missed!

We are so sadden to hear of Russells passing..we love him and will miss him forever.Russell is my niece Lily’s great grandpa..sending love and prayers to the family..We are going out of town early Sunday morning for a week ..Will be unable to attend the viewing or funeral..Know you all will be in our thoughts and prayers🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️

Grew up with the Beggs as back yard neighbors...can remember many times climbing our fence to go play in their yard..Both he and Jo were always so welcoming..
Prayers to the family...

I worked with Mr. Beggs at the Training Center. He always made my day brighter by being so friendly & always funny. It was a pleasure working with him & an honor to have known him. May he rest peacefully in his Heavenly home. My deepest condolences to his family.

I will miss you greatly, Uncle Russell. Yet I take some consolation in knowing we will meet again on the streets of glory. 

My family moved behind the Beggs family in 1955. So many fond memories of Mr and Mrs Beggs. The one memory that stands out is every Halloween Mr Beggs would make popcorn balls to hand out. Every neighborhood kid would scramble to his house first to get that special treat. 😄

Russell was my neighbor when I was a kid and when we moved to S. Kalmia, Russell and Jo lived across the street. He was a GREAT friend and neighbor, I have known the family since I was 4. Prayers for your comfort in this time of grief.

It’s hard to put into words the impact this man had on my life as a pre-adolescent. He was not only my scout master but a father figure that I looked up to and respected.  His words of encouragement and advice have never been forgotten. He will be missed greatly.

Loved sitting and chatting with Pop every time he arrived at the VFW and him telling me his jokes and especially getting my small kisses from him. He is going to be missed by  many of us.

Tori and I loved coming to see Great Grandpa, sitting beside him,under the shady tree at his home, and listening to all of his stories, jokes, and wisdom. Tori and I will always treasure those moments with him. We know he is sitting on a cumulus nimbus cloud watching over us.
