He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Browning; mother, Marion Holloman; brothers, Leslie Jr., Bobby; and sister, Linda.
Red retired from Dominion Virginia Power after 39 years of service.
He enjoyed spending his free time fishing and relaxing at Hatteras Island. Red also loved to spend time with his dog, Rodie.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Judy Southward Browning; son, Chris Browning (Jillian); grandchildren, Myles, Brayden, Brooke; aunt, Mary Dorn; as well as a host of extended family and friends whom he loved dearly.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and staff at Virginia Cancer Institute for their care and support.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 in Washington Memorial Park.
