She was born on February 21, 1949 to the late George and Kathleen Hughes.
Patricia and her husband moved to Highland Springs in 1973. She was a former member of Gethsemane Church of Christ in Mechanicsville, Va. She was known to enjoy old movies and had a great love for dachshunds.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Stephen L. Runion; son, Barry Runion; brother, George Hughes of Mechanicsville, Va; sisters, Geri of Mechanicsville, Va, Cookie of Tappahannock, Va, and Carolyn of New York; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Connie Gossik.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va 23231. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, Va 23150.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to American Cancer Society in Patricia's honor.
