Natalie Pastore Johnson

Natalie Pastore Johnson, age 99, of Richmond, VA passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Giacomo and Stella Pastore. Natalie “Lolly” was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Carson Johnson; son, John Charles Johnson; and siblings, Anna, Frank, Daniel, Joseph, John, Gus Pastore. Natalie is survived by her children, Andrew C. Johnson, Jr., Jennifer L. Thompson (Kurt); grandchildren, Chris Johnson, Doug Johnson (Nikki), Emily Steppe (Anthony), Chuck Johnson (Amber), Amanda Elmore (Dwayne), Ben Liles (Jennifer), Jon Liles (Lauren), Lauren Neff (Chris), Russell Thompson (Tracey), Karl Thompson (Lauren); 15 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Michael J. Pastore, Virginia Ann Walsh (Lenyon). Natalie worked for 27 years as a supervisor at the Hill Directory Company. Upon retirement, she enjoyed quilting, gardening, walking and water aerobics at the YMCA. Natalie was a devoted grandmother and loved caring for her family. The family would like to thank her loving caregivers Victoria, Sarah, Roslyn, Helen, Val, Martha, Amedisys Hospice, and the entire staff of St. Mary’s Woods for their dedication and care of Natalie during the final days of her life. The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. with a service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
