WILLEY, John Alfred, “Jack”, passed away very suddenly on January 11, 2016. He had a very loving family and many friends. He leaves behind his loving wife Irene and his two children, Dr. Michelle Willey and Jack Willey, Jr.
Jack was a pilot in World War II and was shot down over Germany. He bailed out and was captured by the Germans. Several days later he was rescued and spent several weeks in the hospital. Jack was a very successful business man and served on many boards, and was a director in a bank in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
He loves his family and always put them first. This is the kind of man that Jack was. He enjoyed a wonderful life and his main hobby since childhood was fishing. He often fished in the Chesapeake Bay, as well as many other fishing areas as far away as Canada and Alaska. He will always be remembered by his loving wife, his family and many friends that he created over the years. His service will be held at 11am, on Wednesday January 13, 2016, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 1400 Horsepen Rd, Richmond, VA 23226. Reception immediately following the service at The Commonwealth Club, 401 W Franklin St, Richmond, VA 23220.
