John H. Beardsworth

John H. Beardsworth, 92, of Sandston, died Friday, December 27, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Beardsworth; step-daughter, Patricia Cotman; brothers, Peter and Paul Beardsworth; and sister, Dorothy Talley. He is survived by three grandchildren, Chris Johnson, Tonya Eaton and Brooke Archer; and four great-grandchildren, CJ Johnson, Austin Johnson, Noah Johnson and Matthew Eaton. He loved driving trucks and did so for over 50 years before retiring from Houff Transfer. Remains rest at Nelson Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where family will receive friends Thursday, January 2, 2014, 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Washington Memorial Park.
