He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda G. McKenzie; son, Derrick McKenzie; and parents, Eugene and Elizabeth (Schulzstall) McKenzie.
Jack worked for 30 plus years as supervisor and head "Get It Done" guy with Gibson Industrial. He was a well respected and devoted family man and friend. Jack loved his family immensely and raised Brenda's sons as his own. He taught them how to be a man - the right way. Jack also adored his grandchildren and spending quality time with them. In addition to his family, Jack poured his heart into his animals. He had somewhat of a mini-farm including chickens, roosters, rabbits, and quail. In his spare time, Jack loved to fish. He would fish any body of water he could find with anybody willing to tag along. Jack was a simple man who found great joy in the little things that life had to offer.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Randolph Harris (Tiffany), Chris Wilson (Shalaniraquel); grandchildren, Robert, Thomas, Dom, Bell; sister, Doretta Gray; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of really great friends who will all miss him dearly.
Jack will be laid to rest with his wife, Brenda, at a later date in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate.
