Georg Ernst Otto Bergemann, Jr., age 81, of Richmond, was called home and quietly entered the arms of our Heavenly Father on February 13, 2019. He was greeted at the Pearly Gates by his dear wife, Nancy who predeceased him in 2017. He was born to the late Georg Ernst Otto Bergemann, Sr. and Hazel H. Bergemann in April of 1937. He is survived by one devoted daughter, Mrs. Tamara Zaccagnino and husband, Sal. Also surviving are his brother, Robert S. Bergemann; sister, Helene B. Jamelarin; three nieces and one nephew, Angie, Hazel, Virginia and Edward Jamelarin. Georg attended Varina High School before attending VA Tech; he was also a member of the Air Force and an active member in the community and Laurel Hill Church. Georg was a generous and charitable man and leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Georg spent his career as an engineer and vice president of Construction Techniques traveling the world, building and having new adventures; making friends everywhere he went. Georg is off to his next adventure with Nancy by his side. A memorial service will be held at Laurel Hill Church on Friday, February 22, at 2p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.nelsenrichmond.com.
