Erica Yvette Edwards

Erica Yvette Edwards, age 66, of Richmond, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Erica was born on February 5, 1957, in St. Andrews, Grenada. Erica was the daughter of Eric Wells and Agnes Frank. In 1977, she made her journey to the United States, where she built a life marked by dedication and resilience. Over the years, Erica held various roles in hotel hospitality, retail, and, notably, as a Unit Secretary at VCU Health until her retirement. Erica is preceded in death by her father, Eric Wells, mother, Agnes Frank, brother, Roland Edwards and sister, Fiona Wells. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her daughter, Portia Burnett, grandson, Joshua Burnett, brothers, Scott Edwards and Michael Wells, her sisters, Paula Frank, Valarie Bryant, Arundell Granderson, Gillian Wells, Michelle Wells and Margaret Mitchell, two aunts, Anne Slack and Rita Charles, along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and cherished friends. A celebration of life for Erica will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229.
