Dorothy Drake Hall

Hall, Dorothy “Dot” Drake 88, of Richmond, passed peacefully into the Lord’s home January 18, 2023. She is survived by her devoted husband James “Jimmy” Hall, of 68 years. She was predeceased by her parents Dorothy Drake Schmidt and Rufus Drake, daughter Patricia Lynn Hall and brother- in-law William “Bill” Hall, Jr. She is also survived by her two children, Linda ( Paul ) Encinas, Norman ( Vicki ) Hall, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Additionally she leaves behind her beloved cat Callie. Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 2 to 4 and from 5 to 7 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home 4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231. On Friday, January 27, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 at Calvary United Methodist Church 1637 Williamsburg Rd, Richmond, VA 23231. Immediately following the service, the family will receive family and friends in the social hall at Calvary United Methodist Church for a luncheon. Interment following the luncheon at Forest Lawn Cemetery 4000 Pilots Ln, Richmond, VA 23222. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made in her name to Calvary United Methodist Church Kitchen fund or to your local SPCA.
