MCDONOUGH, Dennis Michael, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2015. He was born in Richmond, Va. to Joseph V. McDonough Sr. and Marian McDonough Wagner. He worked for the City of Richmond as a Light Equipment Mechanic. He loved the sky and proudly earned his pilot's license, where he flew both privately and in aerobatic competitions. He also loved motorcycles and rode professional flat track until he slowed down enough for the streets. His passion to live life to the fullest carried on with activities like boating, fishing and even his new found love of camping (in a tent!). Dennis was married for 12 years to his soul mate, Laura Lynn McDonough. He will live on forever in her and in the hearts and souls of his two beautiful children, eight-year-old twins, Hailey Grace McDonough and Corbin Joseph McDonough. In addition to his wife and children, Dennis will live on through his mother, Marian Wagner; and stepfather, Stuart Wagner; brother, Joseph V. McDonough Jr. and his wife, Linda McDonough; sister, Carolyn L. Cole and her husband, Bob Cole; stepbrother, and stepsister, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews will also carry his spirit. Dennis was preceded in death by his, father, Joseph V. McDonough Sr. Services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VCU Massey Cancer Center. Online condolences may be left at www.nelsenrichmond.com.
