In the blink of an eye, you were gone without warning. At Thanksgiving, you regaled us with your plans for the future, always optimistic that better times were just around the corner. What were you to us? You were a loving son, compassionate brother, devoted husband, and loyal friend. You never met a stranger and were passionate about the Jaycees and local politics. You attended Jesuit and North Dallas high schools and played congas in a neighborhood garage band. For many years, you were an Executive Housekeeper in the hotel industry and you did your very best to support your housekeeper employees as you listened to their stories of struggle and encouraged them in their aspirations for the American dream.
On November 27, 2022, the Lord called you home without warning, leaving us with memories of your jokes, affectionate sibling barbs, and your big laugh. You leave behind Evangeline, your grieving mother; Rita and Irma, your two sisters; Kevin, your baby brother; four nephews, three nieces, and more than a dozen cousins. You also left behind your little Sonya, your tiny chihuahua, who was by your side when the Lord called you home.
Our world will not be the same without you. You were special, you were unique, you were loved, and using one of your favorite words, you were without a doubt… unbelievable!
You were preceded in death by your father Manuel, your sister Mitzi, and your wife Rebecca. May you rest in peace in the glory of our savior, Jesus Christ.
