Don was born on August 8, 1961, in Lubbock TX. He attended schools in Sterling, OK, Lubbock, TX, and Dallas, TX, before the family settled in Amarillo, TX in 1972. After graduation from Tascosa High School in 1979, he attended Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, where he received his B.B.A. in Finance in 1983.
He pursued a career in banking with National City Bank in Louisville, KY, where he became Senior Vice President and Regional Manager in Commercial Loans. After successfully opening a Dallas office for the bank, he left banking in 2003, and established Pullen Land Services, LLC. in 2004. As a Certified Landman, his work as an Independent Petroleum Landman carried him to seven states, and most recently to Michigan as an Independent Solar Landman.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Pullen, Sr. on November 11, 2020, in El Paso, TX He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Rae Pullen-Stoyak (Samuel Robert Stoyak), his grandson, Theodore Elijah Stoyak, and his mother, Ronda Maurice Dorsey-Pullen.
The family will receive friends for a Memorial Service on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave, Richardson, TX, 75081.
