Born in Cleveland, OH in 1932 and raised in Maple Heights. He went to Miami University, graduating with a degree in civil engineering. Then he was drafted into the Army.
After being discharged in the late 1950s he went to work for Boeing, working in their aerospace and engineering divisions.
In the 1960s and early 70s He worked on the launch stage of the Saturn V rocket that sent men into space and onto the moon. Later in the 70s Boeing Engineering consulted with oil firms operating rigs in the North Sea; this period was highlighted by several trips to the Thistle platform.
In the 1980s he worked on various projects, including a hydrofoil for the US Navy. He retired in the mid-1990s.
He married his first wife (Sarah Louise) in 1963. His two children are Sarah Ann and Michael. Sarah Louise died in 1996.
He remarried in 1998. His second wife (Judy) survives him, as do his two children. He will be missed by many including Bill, Michelle, Kailyn, Kelsey, Brian, Luciana, Gabi, Denae and Grace.
He passed away on April 16th 2023 at the age of 90. He died peacefully of natural causes, in his own home, on his own terms, at his own pace.
