BORN: March 26, 1928. Died: December 6, 2017.
Ralph, 89, passed on peacefully at home after a gradual decline in health. He was cared for by his loving family. Born to Giovanni and Adelina Banchero in Black Diamond, he was the youngest of nine children. He grew up on the family farm, which has always been a center of his life. Eventually he moved to Seattle to work at his brother, Ed’s, meat market (E&E MEATS) until he retired. Having a gregarious personality, he enjoyed being a salesman and had more friends than we could count.
He was a son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and best friend. Loving music and dance, his home was filled with Polka music. One could always count on the 10 minute ride, a daily wake up call at 6 am to ask what you are doing, and his affectionate pulling of ears. When teasing someone, he had a twinkle in his bright blue eyes and his trademark smirk! Generous in spirit and possessions, he was well loved and respected. Also, true to his Italian heritage he made regular trips to Italy visiting family and friends. There was much love shared.
Ralph is survived by five children (and spouses): Lynn, Lori Banchero, Les Banchero, Larry Banchero , and Chris Banchero;14 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. His significant other was Eloise Drake and her children Kim Boeringa, Jody Boeringa, Lana Walden and families.
