Mark Addington Logan, Junior passed away at his home in Renton on Tuesday, August 23 with his wife by his side. Mark was born at Providence Hospital in Seattle on April 21, 1931. His parents were Mark Addington Logan and Clemence (Mingo) Addington. He was married to Patricia Marie (Picardo) Logan on August 27, 1960, at Saint Francis Church in Burien, they were married 62 years. He was a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean War serving for 4 years from early 1950 to late 1953, then worked for 40 years for the Boeing Company in Boeing Field Flight Test Operations.
He was an active Seattle sports fan holding season tickets for the Seattle Sonics, Mariners, and Seahawks. He had the pleasure of taking his grandson Ricky to the inaugural games at Safeco Field in 1999 and the new Seahawk Stadium in 2002. He took great pleasure in camping throughout the Northwest and around the country with his wife and children. In his early retirement, he spent his summers visiting many of our National Parks and taking his grandchildren on many trips. All who love him will remember him as an amazing storyteller who could entertain during road trips and at holidays.
Mark is survived by his wife Patty, daughter Angie Martinez and her husband Rick, his son Sam and his wife Julie, and his son Rusty and his wife Sunisa. Also, by his grandchildren Ricky and his wife Emma, Marissa, Elizabeth, Hannah, and her husband Hunter. He is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren. He is preceded by his sisters Mary (Kidd) Logan, Marge (Lucca) Logan, Phyllis Logan, and his son Steve. A Rosary for Mark will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Renton on Thursday, September 8th from 4:00-5:00 PM with visitation until 8 PM. Funeral services will be at Saint Anthony Church in Renton on Friday, September 9th at 10:30 AM with a reception immediately following at the parish hall. Burial is scheduled for 2:30 PM on Friday, September 9th at Holyrood Cemetery in Seattle.
