It is with great sadness that the family of Minh Van Tran announce his sudden passing on Monday, April 30, 2018, at the age of 59. Minh was born on February 23, 1959 in Tay Ninh, Vietnam and immigrated to France with his family in 1978. He eventually settled here in Canada in 1982. Minh was predeceased by his father and mother Lang Tran and Ba Thi Cao; and brother Van Ngoc. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Kim Ngoc; children Thuy Jane (Duy), Bao (Christina), and Hung (Catherine); grandchildren Jacob, Layla, Autumn and has two more on the way. He will also be greatly missed by his numerous brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles. Minh was a pillar in the community establishing Lang’s Cafe with his father over thirty years ago and since then has paved the way for many successful family businesses in the city. He was a witty, genuine, dedicated hard-worker who loved what he did but above all, he loved his family and was extremely proud of his children. Minh loved to travel the world with Kim and his family whenever he could get them together and enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the doctors and nurses at both the Pasqua Hospital and Regina General Hospital for their excellent care and understanding. In lieu of flowers, all donations may be forwarded to charitable organizations within the community.
