Marie Nichols

November 14, 1923 – October 23, 2016

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Marie at the age of 92 at the Esterhazy Care Home, Esterhazy. Mom was born in Yellow Grass, Sask., the sixth of eight children to Mary and Herbert Buckingham. Mom is lovingly remembered by her family; Ken Nichols, Mary Allynne[Sue] [Charlie] Cairns, Chantelle [Reza] Cairns, Amber [Tyler] Murray, Howard [Bobbi] Nichols, Jason [Erin] Nichols, Kyla [Jared] Cook, Harold Nichols, Jeffrey [Bethanie] Nichols, Tiffany [Chris] Wolf, and GG to 14 Great Grandchildren, sister Edna Mactaggart, sister-in-law Betty Buckingham, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Nichols [1984], her parents [1955], two sisters, four brothers and dear friend Celia Purvus. Mom lived her life for her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We could not have asked for more, she was the best. Teacher, babysitter and caregiver to us all. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Victoria Funeral Home 2080 Victoria Avenue East, Regina. Friends welcome.
