Gail Dorcas

August 9, 1951 – April 24, 2014

On Thursday, April 24, 2014, Gail Louise Dorcas (nee Huber) of Indian Head, SK, passed away suddenly at the age of 62 years. Gail was predeceased by her husband Edward Dorcas, parents George & Verna Huber, stepmother Phyllis Huber, father and mother-in-law Roy and Helen Dorcas and niece Jenny Lovett. Gail leaves behind her brother Daryl (Shirley) Huber of Devon, AB, Shelly (Donald) Legault of Indian Head, SK, Dawn Huber (Ryan Moggey) of Regina, Glenda (Ray) Gilbert of Calgary, AB, brothers-in-law Roger Dorcas, Harry Dorcas, sister-in-laws Lorraine (Larry) Newton of Spruce Grove, AB, Carol (Mike) Lovett of Sioux Lookout, ON, Mona (Red) Dorcas of Regina along with numerous nieces and nephews. Gail was born in Regina, SK on August 9, 1951. She spent her childhood living on the farm at Serath, SK and going to school in Serath and Raymore. She spent most of her working career working in housekeeping at the Pasqua Hospital and Wascana Rehab and retired as Director of Housekeeping from the Wascana Rehabilitation Center. She moved to Indian Head in 2010 and spent the next 2 years wintering in Mission, TX. The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, 2080 East Victoria Ave, Regina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gail's memory to Indian Head & District Hospital Foundation, Inc., Box 1547, Indian Head, SK S0G2K0
