Calvin ‘Herbie’ Douglas Demery of Regina, SK passed away on January 5th 2024. Herbie was born in Prince Albert, SK on February 11th 1969. He is predeceased by his mother Eileen Forbes; stepfather Donald Forbes; Father Douglas Demery; sister Connie Jessen; and brother-in-law Steve Snyder. He is survived by his stepmother Bonnie Demery; sister Tammy Snyder; his children: Dwight Demery and Cassandra Mushanski (Brandon Mushanski); their mother Nicole Demery; grandchildren: Brysen Demery, Kylar Mushanski, Aries Mushanski and Atticus Demery; girlfriend Francesca Lutz; along with
many other nieces, nephews and other distant relatives. Herbie was enthusiastically involved in the baseball community. He volunteered at Kiwanis National Little league for many years passing on his knowledge and love for the game through coaching and teaching the younger generation to umpire. He was also a committee member for many years for Central Fun League while also running a softball team of adults of his own. Growing up Herbie always had a love for all sports and was very active which then lead to his love of baseball. If you did not find Herbie playing a sport, you would find him at his next two fond loves... the lake or hunting. Two of his favorite things to do was go to the lake with his family or friends or plan a hunting trip with his hunting buddies. The smile on his face when you would find Herbie doing something he loved was an amazing things to witness. Herbie was so joyful and full of life that he just looked for the next adventure. A Viewing Service will take place on January 20th 2024 at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life immediately to follow at the Victoria Club ltd, 1300 Victoria Ave, Regina, SK. The Victoria Club will be open at noon but the slide show and eulogy will be at 300pm.
