It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Mock, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother (GiGi), and friend passed away peacefully with her granddaughter, Laura, by her side on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Regina, SK.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Otto Mock (1999); sons Ken Mock (1986) and Dennis Mock (1997); sisters Rose, Jean, and Frieda; and brothers Jack, Mike, Joe, Seb, Otto, Marty and Ewalt.
Betty is lovingly remembered and survived by her daughter Evette (Ken), Silzer; son Allan (Valerie) Mock; daughter Brenda Parisian; son-in-law Lyle; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sisters Olga, Claire, Ann, and Adeline; brother Edward; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
Betty was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as GiGi to her great grandchildren. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends with everyone she met, especially her dedicated customers at the Carnival Kitchen Restaurant, which she managed for 32 years. Betty loved the time spent at their cottage at Katepwa Lake, spending most weekends with her children and grandchildren, playing cards, games, and cooking for everyone. Christmas Eve was always spent at mom and dad’s house. After she moved to her apartment she still had Christmas Eve in her small home. She loved every minute, preparing for that special time where all her children and grandchildren were together.
After her beloved husband passed away, she moved to Oxford Manor in 2002 and made so many good friends. She volunteered on the Social Committee, Public Relations, and on the Board of Directors.
Mom, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
A private family Graveside Service will be held in the Spring of 2020.
