Alice Elizabeth Zaba

May 18, 1934 – March 29, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of Alice Zaba announces the sudden passing of a devoted wife, beloved Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma on March 29, 2017 at the Regina General Hospital. Family came first for Alice at all times including up until her final moments. Family gatherings brought her much joy and the opportunity to show her love for them especially through her fabulous cooking. Alice will be missed dearly by her husband Joseph, who is forever grateful for their time together and for all she did with him through their 63 plus years of marriage. Alice’s children, Joanne Merk (Brian), Brenda Gerein (Ken), Darrell Zaba (Linda), Brian Zaba (Donna) and Ken Zaba (Heather), will miss her immensely and treasure their time with and memories of her forever. Alice has 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren with two more to arrive soon. She loved them dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Lucy and Watt Edmunds and is survived by her sisters Grace, Shirley and Darlene. The family would like to thank Dr. Kuzmicz and the hospital staff for the compassionate care provided during Alice’s stay at the hospital. A celebration of Alice’s life will be held at Holy Child Parish (2636 7th Avenue East) in Regina on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 10:30 am.
