Susan Colleen Thiesen passed away on December 17, 2024 in Reedley, California. She was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada on September 24, 1976. She was predeceased by her beloved chihuahua, Olive. She is survived by her parents Jerry and Audrey Thiesen of Bible Hill, Nova Scotia; brother Andrew (Shannon) Thiesen and their children Peter (Robyn, children Rose, Andy), Tim (Bailey), and Abby (Nathanael) of Valley, Nova Scotia; sister Jennifer (Jed) Reimer and their children Mallory and Owen of Visalia, California; as well as former husband Kyle Sawatzky, Reedley.
Susan grew up in Truro but moved to California in 1997 where she spent several years working in the field of finance. In recent years one of her favorite pastimes was visiting with residents of Palm Village Retirement Community.
In lieu of a public memorial service, Susan has requested that friends and loved ones take some time to reflect on God's word including some of her favorite scriptures, Psalm 119 and John 6.
