Karen Elaine Taylor

Karen Elaine Taylor was born in Dearborn, Michigan on December 4, 1968 to Joan and Alva Tompkins. She was one of two children. Karen passed away tragically in Taylor, Michigan on November 14, 2023 at the age of 54.

Karen was the beloved wife of the late Fred Taylor. Loving mother of Ashley (Troy) Whitman, Brian (Bethany) Miles, and Michael (Lauryn) Hogan. Dear grandma of Blake McLaughlin, Emma Miles, Gavin Florence, Kelsey Trombly, Hunter Florence, Annabelle Florence, Aubree Miles, Zaylee Hogan, Pearson Hogan and Renlee Whitman. Sister of Gail (Chip) McIntosh. Cousin of Patricia (the late David) McKennon and Joanie (Ron Vandermeeden) Kreklau who was also her best friend and caregiver.

Karen retired as a Registered Nurse. She worked at several hospitals and ended her career caring for the elderly. Karen had a love of all music, especially classic rock, Bob Seger and Neil Diamond. She loved nature, animals, and gardening. Karen started her own personal community garden and would give away her garden vegetables to the neighbors. She was extremely compassionate and caring. She will be deeply missed.

Karen's family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am for a gathering on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth Rd., Redford Twp., Michigan 48239 (West of Telegraph). Her life will be celebrated with a service at 1:00pm.
