John was born Saturday, April 14, 1951 in Oroville, California, to John Burke Sr. and Joy Jimenez.
He graduated from Oroville High School in 1970 with his high school diploma. In 1983 he moved to Red Bluff, California and accepted a position as a mill worker at Diamond International, where he worked for more than 25 years.
John married Barbara Boswell in 1973 and the couple had two children together. He was a great provider, and was deeply involved in caring for his family the majority of his life.
John enjoyed playing guitar, Bible studies, and spending time with his family. His family will always remember him as a hard working, family oriented man.
John is survived by his children Heather and Jim Bettencourt of Chico, California & Wendy and Michale Anderson of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, and grandchildren Rilee, Mikey, Ryan, Lillian and Isac.
John will be buried with his family at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Oroville, California.
