Violet Virginia Cucinotta, 90, of Muhlenberg Township, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Born December 13, 1931 in Reading, PA she was a daughter to the late George W. and Anna C. (Souders) Bright.
Violet grew up with her siblings at the Children's Home of Reading and was a graduate of Reading High School, she continued to be a proud Red Knight throughout her life. She worked as a seamstress at Spring Air Mattress Factory, until her retirement. Violet was a faithful and devout Catholic and a proud parishioner of Holy Guardian Angels RC Church. Throughout her life, Violet loved to read and was an active volunteer at her children and grandchildren's schools and in the local community
Affectionately known as “Mom Mom” to everyone who knew her, she will live on through the many memories that center around her love of spending time with family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all blessed enough to have known her.
Violet's spirit will be carried on by her 2 daughters Connie, wife of Sam Edelman, and Ann Marie, wife of Doug Botch; 2 brothers George and James Bright; 5 grandchildren Rachael, wife of Jason Schoenberg, Noah Edelman, Ben Edelman, Madison Botch, and Veronica Botch; and 2 great grandchildren Hudson Schoenberg and Paige Botch. Violet also leaves behind nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Violet was greeted in heaven by her husband Frank Cucinotta; her 5 sisters Ida, Mildred, and Gertrude Bright, Anna Fisher, and Pearl Foreman.
A viewing for Violet will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. A secondary viewing will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Holy Guardian Angels RC Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605. Mass of christian burial will promptly commence in the church at 10:00 AM. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Violet's memory may be made to Muhlenberg Community Library, 3612 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605 and/or Holy Guardian Angels RC Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605.
