G. Frank Arters, 94, of Exeter Township, PA, was called home by our Lord and Saviour. He passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022. Born in Neversink, PA, on August 16, 1928, he was the son of the late Edgar M. and the late Amelia (Hafer) Arters. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marion (Wenger) Arters on July 13, 2000.
Frank was the owner/operator of his own trucking company, G. Frank Arters, Inc., for 72 years. He was a member of Frieden's UCC in Oley, PA, and a member of the Stonersville Fire Company. He was also a member and co-founder of the Achin' Back Hunting Camp, Inc., in Tioga County, PA.
Frank was an avid hunter and traveled to Maine and Wyoming to hunt for deer, elk, antelope, moose and bear. He also enjoyed going to Naples, Florida, in the winter to fish in the Marco River. Frank was a big NASCAR fan! He attended many races or watched them on the TV. He loved when a Ford would win!! He owned a farm near Geigertown, PA, where he raised cattle and grew corn. He spent many hours there during his retirement years.
Surviving are his three children: G. Frank Arters III and his wife, Diane, Barbara F. and her husband, Michael Fletcher, and Judy A. and her husband, William Reichard. There are five grand- children: G. Frank Arters IV, Stacey Behm, Sara Kershner, John Arters, and Lauren Piccione. In addition, there are seven great-grandchildren: Aaron, Benjamin, Tiffany, Cameron, Michael, Amelia, and G. Frank V. A brother, Edgar D. Arters and his wife, Sarah, also, survive Frank.
A Viewing for G. Frank will be Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, PA 19606. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Frieden's Cemetery, Oley, PA.
