Elaine B. Buck

Elaine B. Buck, age 77 of Lewes DE passed away on Tuesday, February 22nd at her home. She was born on March 17, 1944. Elaine was a graduate of the class of 1962 at Reading High School in Reading PA. After graduation, she worked as administrative assistant for The Bank of Pennsylvania and then joined United Airlines as flight attendant where she worked for 38 years. In addition to her successful career at the airline, Elaine had a side hustle - Elaine Buck’s Antiques of West Chester. She spent most weekends buying and selling antiques.

Elaine is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Buck, of 52 years, as well as many “nieces, nephews” and cousins that loved her dearly. Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Effie (Kutzamanis) Barous and Anthony Barous.

Elaine attracted many friendships along life’s journey, some lifelong and some recently made. Her friends describe her as a warm and genuine person who was devoted to her husband and had a flair for decorating and love for animals.

Funeral services (masks required) will be held on Saturday March 5, 2022 at Theo C. Auman, Inc. funeral home (247 Penn Street, Reading, PA) at 10am. There will be a viewing from 9:00-10:00 am. Final committal prayers will be held at Charles Evans Cemetery Mausoleum.(1119 Centre Avenue, Reading PA) at 11am. (Please note funeral service will also be livestreamed on Theo C. Auman Inc.
