Donald "Donnie" David Lutz, 47, of Reading, PA entered eternal rest unexpectedly on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Born on January 13,1976, he was a son to Shirleyann (Yohn) Lutz and the late Donald Lee Lutz.
Donnie was educated in the Antietam School District and a graduate of Welder Training & Testing Institute, class of 2009. He was a talented welder by trade; working for Reitnouer, Inc., for 11 years and previously working for Dor-Mae Industries Inc., for 2 years. Donnie was a workaholic and took great pride in his career. His most notable work, and most meaningful to him, was the Wounded Warrior Project at the World Trade Center.
Donnie loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, had a passion for guns and classic muscle cars. He will be fondly remembered for his easy-going nature, being full of life and let's not forget his sarcasm. Donnie will be sorely missed by all blessed enough to have known him.
In addition to his mother Shirleyann, Donnie's spirit will be carried on by his wife, Heather (Hettinger) Lutz; his daughter Amber Lee Lutz; his niece/ bonus daughter Ashley Ann Gonzalez; and his twin brother Darrell Lutz. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
A viewing for Donnie will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 391 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Funeral service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Dr. Robert Aregood officiating. Inurnment at Forest Hills Memorial Park will be scheduled at a later date.
