Dolores "Dee" Yvonne (Booher) Donaldson, 86, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. She was the loving wife of Richmond I. Donaldson. The couple married August 3, 1956 and enjoyed 62 years of marriage.
Born in Huntingdon, PA on June 20, 1932, Dee was a daughter of the late John E. and Alma (Horton) Booher. Dee came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ as a teenager and became actively involved in several church ministries where she was challenged to become a missionary. She was a 1950 graduate of Mt. Union Area High School and a 1954 graduate of Philadelphia College of the Bible. Dee was a devoted member of High Point Baptist Chapel in Geigertown, PA. While there she taught Spanish and worked in the library at High Point Academy.
Together with Richmond, Dee was a missionary for 48 years serving with Association of Baptist for World Evangelism along the Amazon River in Peru, South America. She along with Richmond received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Philadelphia Biblical University for their missionary service. In her retirement she was also involved with the "Keenagers" at High Point Chapel. Dee was very social and enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Richmond, Dee is survived by twin sons, Dr. Gordon R. Donaldson and his wife, Sue of Mohnton and Richmond J. Donaldson and his wife, Beth of Paraguay and Kevin D. Donaldson and his wife, Bobbi of Thornton; eight grandchildren: Ben, Greg, Ericka, Brittany, Bryce, Natasha, Nathan and the late Ted and 12 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Darrell Booher and his wife, Darlene of Arlington, VA and Donald Booher and his wife, Nancy of Shirleysburg. PA and a sister, Sharon (Booher) Stewart, wife of the late Ron of Hartville, MI.
Services for Dee were private and at the convenience of the family.
