David E. Coldren, 76, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marlane A. (Menard) Coldren. Dave was born in Reading on September 13, 1946 a son of the late Russell and Rosemary (Gilbert) Coldren.
He was employed by the Exeter School District as a teacher for over 34 years first working at Lausch Elementary then Lorane and lastly, Exeter Jr. High School retiring in 2002. After retirement Dave worked part time at World Gym and he enjoyed weight lifting, running marathons, bicycling and also juggling. He was a graduate of Kutztown State and was a local historian. David cheered on his favorite teams, Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Phillies. Dave loved hunting golf balls at the RCC.
Also surviving are his 2 daughters; Kelly A. and her husband Scott Leone and Jami L. and her husband Scott Fry, and 2 grandsons; Jakob Fry and Travis Fry.
David was predeceased by his brother, Russell Coldren, Jr.
A Visitation for David will be Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St. Reading, Reading, PA 19601, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
David will be laid to rest in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
