York was called into the presence of the Lord at her home in Kenhorst, PA on Wednesday, October
30, 2024. Antoinette was born on October 17, 1945 to Julius Hart and Helen Thomas (Hart) in Manhattan, New York at the Metropolitan Hospital.
Antoinette was educated in the New York public school system until the eighth grade. She was
pulled from school to care for her younger siblings and to work. Antoinette started her career at Long Island Jewish Hospital in housekeeping. After that, she worked at Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation as a mailroom clerk for 40 years then retired.
Antoinette accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior in November 1972. After her acceptance,
she became a “soul winner” by spreading the gospel on street corners, in nursing homes, hospitals
and everywhere she went. She even shared her faith with people who entered her home! She
balanced humor with heartfelt compassion when zealously sharing her Christian faith with almost
everyone. She trusted in Jesus until the day the Lord’s angels took His servant home to glory.
Antoinette moved from New York to Pennsylvania where she resided for over 20 years. She joined
True Faith Independent Holiness Church of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania in 2009 after being a member of
New Beginnings Methodist Church of Reading. At both churches, Antoinette shared her faith and
sang songs at Lauderdale Manor Care, a nursing home in Reading. Also, she was a radio evangelist
broadcasting the gospel message on Albright College Radio (91.3 FM) on Sundays after church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Julius Hart, her mother, Helen Hart, her sister, Dorothy
Hart, her brother, Julius Hart Jr., her brother, Zonnell Hart and her grandson, Jonquay Byrd.
She is survived by her only son, John Byrd and three daughters: Shaulic Byrd, Christine Feggins (Taylor)
husband, Robert L. Taylor Jr. and Christian Hope Feggins. Her grandchildren are: Kameechy
Rodriguez (Byrd) husband, Philip Rodriguez, Denzel Brown, and Esther Brown. Her siblings are:
Henry Hart wife Rosalind Hart, Lavarr Hart (Teel) husband Vincent Teel and Helen Hart (Mallory)
husband Keith Mallory. She has a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Lord God has delivered Antoinette from death into eternal life. He will do it for you, too!
