William E. Fankhauser

Bill was born in Ravenna, Ohio on July 20, 1939 to parents Clifton and Ruth (McCord) Fankhauser. Bill attained a master’s degree in education and administration and went on to enjoy a 36-year career as a teacher and principal. He had been principal at Brady Lake and Central schools and retiring as the principal of Holden Elementary. He enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV and loved watching his grandchildren’s sports activities.

Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kay (Langell) Fankhauser and his two sons Jeff (Lori) Fankhauser and Chris (Lisa) Fankhauser. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Lauren, Jackson, Megan, Madison and Izzie. Bill is also survived by his in-laws Anita Fankhauser, Linda Fankhauser and Bill (Sharon DiCarro) Langell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Clifton and Bob.

Friends will be received to celebrate his life on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Inurnment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna will take place at a later date.
