He was born June 5, 1934, in Sutton, West Virginia, the only son of Peter I. and Pearl (Lockard) Cutlip. Bill was the last surviving child among all his sisters.
Bill was a hard worker, actually a workaholic. After his retirement from Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills, Bill and his wife, Shirley, operated Cutlip’s Hauling and Excavating. He continued working well into his 80’s, and then spent most of his free time working in his garage.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Shirley (Lewis) Cutlip, who he married on September 4, 1965. Also surviving are his children: Debbie (Robert) Foit, Theresa (Udell) Groves, Steven (Evelyn) Cutlip, Gina Cutlip, and Wendy (Paul) Earle. His memory will also be cherished by grandchildren: Shirley, Casey, Bill B., Nicole, Bill C., Raymond, Justin, Tyler, and Rebecca, his great-grandchildren: Isaac, Shane, Ethan, Gracie, Olivia, Kevin, Owen, Oliver, Everly, Scarlet, Easton, Cruz, Boomer, and Harper, as well as his great-great-grandchildren Alexandria and Sebastian.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, and his daughter Cheryl Echols.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a funeral service at 12:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Edinburg Cemetery.
