Ronald Jene Oliver, of Ravenna, peacefully passed away at his home, with his loving wife, Michelle, by his side. A man of remarkable diligence and craftsmanship, Ron was known for his strong work ethic and pursuit of excellence in all his endeavors.
Throughout his life, Ron was a visionary entrepreneur, establishing several businesses including Oliver's Lounge and Oliver's Custom Marble. In his later years, he channeled his passion into becoming a renowned remodeling contractor, insisting on perfection and quality in every project. He believed that if a job wasn’t done right, it wasn’t done at all.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ron was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and boater. He cherished motorcycle riding throughout his life, a passion that brought him immense joy and freedom. His love for cars also led him to enjoy many car shows, sharing this passion with friends and family alike.
Ron is survived by his wife of 36 years, Michelle (Smitley) Oliver; sister, Karen Boyer; daughters, Christina Oliver and Deana Baker; sons, Michael Oliver and John (Jessie) Evanoff; and his grandchildren, Kory Kearns, Alex Evanoff, Brendon Oliver, Tyler Oliver, Reese Boyd, and Chayce Baker.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louia Mildred (Van Wagner) Arbogast; sister, Sandra (Oliver) Lloyd; daughter, Rhonda (Oliver) Boyd; and his beloved grandson, Shane Oliver.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Friday, April 26th, 2024, at 4 PM at the Eagles, 812 Cleveland Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266. Friends, family, and those whose lives were touched by Ron are invited to join in celebrating his remarkable life.
Ron's generous spirit and formidable presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
