Ronald Novak, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2024, at the age of 87.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, JoAnn (Mahoney) Novak, his children Dan, Greg, Lori (Patrick) Maloney, Cheryl (Shawn) McNamara, and David. He was a proud grandfather of Patrick (Emily), Caitlin (Kevin), Danny (Kayla), Erin, Brian (Madison), Colin, Aidan, Martin, Kelly, Jack, Wade, and Paige, and a cherished great-grandfather to Patrick, Harper, Ava, and James.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Julia (Kowalewski) Novak.

His family will forever cherish the memories and lessons he imparted. His legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through them.

Born on May 9, 1937, Ron lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Ron was a member of the US Army from 1956-1958 followed by a long, successful career in sales. Ron was known for his warm heart and gentle spirit. He had a passion for fishing, sports and always found joy in spending time on the water, casting his line, and sharing stories with loved ones.

Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 4pm until 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. Frantisek Katrinak, will be held at 11am on Wednesday, November 27, at St. Joseph Church, 11045 St. Joseph Blvd., Mantua, Ohio 44255 Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
