He was born June 17, 1932, in Akron, Ohio, son of the late William and Gladys (Conrad) Pearson. Paul was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving in the Korean War. He graduated from Kent State University and retired as a Chief Paint Chemist with Sherwin-Williams in Bedford Heights. Mr. Pearson had several hobbies including woodworking and carving, building scale-model sailing vessels, and flying his remote controlled planes with the flying club in Wadsworth. Most of all, Paul loved his family and all animals, especially his dog Sammy and grand-dog Clooney.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years JoAnne (Caldwell) Pearson; his children: Eric (Colleen) Pearson of Troy, Ohio, Christine (Dan) Morris of Vandalia, Ohio, Karla Pearson of Mogadore, and Alicia Pearson of North Royalton; also survived by his grandchildren Dylan and Cassidy Morris.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Philip Raynes at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the Rootstown United Methodist Church, 4065 State Route 44, Rootstown, OH 44272. A time of fellowship will follow at the church.
