Pamela S. Cottrell

Pamela Sue (Mulneix) Cottrell of Ravenna, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday November 21, 2024, after battling End Stage Renal Failure. She was born on June 9, 1959, in Ravenna, Ohio.

Pam grew up in Kent, Ohio and was a 1977 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School. She completed a curriculum in cosmetology but spent many of her working years in Accounts Payable. Pam was a very kind yet strong-willed woman. There was never a question about what she was thinking or feeling. She loved spending time with her family and friends the most. She loved everyone and made everyone feel welcome. Pam was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was a loving and supportive mom and grandma to all even when she did not have to be. Pam loved to travel and see the beach and mountains.

Pam is preceded in death by her loving husband Samuel G. Cottrell, grandson Samuel M. Cottrell, mother Helen L. Moderwell, father Leonard A. Mulneix, and stepfather Robert C. Moderwell.

Pam is survived by her two brothers Frank (Sue) Mulneix and Bobbie (Tracy) Moderwell, (step)children Jason (Jaclyn) Cottrell and Samantha (Eric) Abt, and extended family Kristy Mulneix, Cody Mulneix, Tina Taiclet and RT Moderwell. She is also survived by granddaughters Leah (Ben), Miranda, and Vanessa Cottrell and Cassandra Abt along with many friends and family.

Pam’s wish for cremation is being honored and inurnment with her late husband, Sam and beloved dog, Bella will be held at the family cemetery at a later date.
