Madeline Grow Anderson

She was born May 26, 1913, in Alexandria, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Boyd Martin and Julia Edna (Stanley) Grow. Madeline retired from Robinson Memorial Hospital and was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, UCC. She was one of the oldest members of the church and very active in many church activities. Madeline enjoyed traveling, especially on bus trips. One of her final trips was back to her parent’s home in West Virginia. She will be remembered for her generosity and her love of children and her dog, Wrecks.

She was preceded in death by her husband Crawford Anderson, son Raymond “Ricky” Anderson, sister Phyllis Grow Pringle, brothers Paul Grow and Billy Grow.

Madeline is survived by her loving family, including: Betty Lou Pringle (Larry) Mike, Connie Mike (John) Sisco, Marilyn Mike, and Linda Mike.

At Madeline’s request, there will be no calling hours. Private graveside services will be officiated by Pastor David Ballert at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
