Larry L. Beck

Larry was born June 8, 1952, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Roy D. and Roberta Katherine (Murphy) Beck. Larry graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School in 1970, and then joined the Ohio Army National Guard.

Larry had a long career as a machinist with Gougler Industries and retired from FRD. He was a devoted member of New Testament Baptist Church. Larry was a perfectionist and took pride in maintaining his lawn. He enjoyed staying busy outdoors and loved spending time with his granddaughter.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne (Penrod) Beck, who he married April 15, 1972. He also leaves behind his daughters: Julie Cain and Jennifer Beck. Pop Pop’s memory will also be cherished by his granddaughter Emily Cain.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sandy Hoff.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the New Testament Baptist Church, with funeral services officiated by Pastor Bob Burgess at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
